Little did Jessica know when Luis proposed to her on the Spanish Steps in Rome, that he had already planned their wedding too … Just like an episode from ‘Don’t tell the Bride’, Luis curated every single detail carefully to make their wedding in Siena unforgettable!
Luis’ line of work involves a lot of (financial) planning, which gave him the leading edge to wade through complicated paperwork requirements for getting married in Italy, plus sourcing a planner to help with all the other details he knew Jessica couldn’t live without, like an Italian wedding gown, a full topiary bridal bouquet of red roses, and a Tuscan castle for their Italian wedding reception with closest family. He brought family members on board with his plan and they helped getting her part of the legal paperwork and playing along with the big surprise.
What started as a romantic weekend in Rome … as Jessica stood on the Spanish Steps looking out at the crowds of people milling around the cobblestone streets, Luis got down on one knee and waited for her to say ‘yes!!’. Then he handed her his cell phone so she could call her father and break the happy news. As she was telling her Dad all about the romantic proposal, her jaw dropped suddenly … as she saw him walking up the steps with his cell phone to his ear and a big smile on his face! Right behind him were her mom and all the rest of the family …
Baci & Abbracci ! XOXO
