Tammy’s family history is one of noble European roots, persecution, escape, and immigration; her engagement to Brian was welcomed by all of her family members and the upcoming wedding celebration excited everyone, especially Tammy’s grandmother who as war broke out in Europe, had moved to the United States to guarantee a better life for her children and grandchildren.
Fate had other plans however, and gently took Tammy’s grandmother away just a few months before the wedding, so Tammy and Brian decided to honor her memory and get married as close to Hungary as they could. A wedding in Italy made the cut and they chose to get married in Tuscany for the countryside ambiance which Tammy’s grandmother missed so much.
Immediate family and the closest family friends joined together at Villa La Capitata, perched on a hillside overlooking the Arno River valley, just outside of Florence. The family-run location prepared a home-cooked meal and local wine which everyone enjoyed outside, under the tuscan sun.
Tammy’s sunflower theme was perfect for the season, July is when sunflowers show their faces and the fields were full of happy blooms!
A heartfelt wedding ceremony full of readings and delicate harp music was led by celebrant Luca from Wedding Celebrants in Italy.
