Kira & Ethan

Jewish Wedding in Florence

The Details

The Story

Jewish weddings have it all:  deep tradition, spirituality, and lots of fun!  Kira and Ethan’s wedding in Florence at Villa Viviani saw guests coming from around the world gathering together to celebrate the beginning of a new Jewish family and what a celebration!  Fine kosher Italian food, a solemn ceremony exchanging their vows under the Chuppah and family tallit. Circling then … off to party!

Florence, Italy is Kira’s father’s home town so a destination wedding was a given and since both her parents speak fluent Italian they took care of all the planning.  A great job finding photographer Rosapaola Lucibelli plus florists, musicians, and especially transportation for everyone to make it on time for the wedding ceremony which ended up inside due to rain.

The Villa offers a private area where the bride had her hair and makeup done along with her mother and sister.  Ketubah signing took place in another room reserved for this important moment and for the couple spend in Yichud.

Kira and Ethan are very warm and fuzzy, and you see that in so many of the details.  Each guest received not only a sachet with Italian confetti but also a miniature photo album of both families, especially appreciated by their elders.  Their guestbook was postcards where family and friends could write a personal note to the newlyweds – and there’s no better time to say mazel tov than at a wedding!
