Throw back Thursday!  We are proud to re-publish the one & only wedding in Manarola published on the Style Me Pretty website and branded Perfect Italy Wedding.  Lindsay and Jordan brought over a group of family members for a wedding week on one of Italy’s most loved coastlines, the Cinque Terre, where they tied the knot on a cabin cruiser, dined waterside after their ceremony, and spent precious time with their loved ones.  Here’s the story.

Andiamo in Italia!

Jordan was in the Air Force and Lindsay was at home in South Carolina getting her degree in industrial engineering, during which time she did a study abroad in Florence, Italy.  Lindsay had no doubt that her wedding would be a destination wedding in Italy, she just had to make sure the rest of the family was on board with it all!  Needless to say they all said ‘yes’ and everyone hopped on a plane to one of the most breathtaking locations to tie the know:  the Cinque Terre coast.  The only thing that didn’t make the trip was Lindsay and Jordan’s luggage and luckily, Lindsay had carried her Monique Lhuillier wedding gown on board, while Jordan had to settle for shopping for a fine Italian suit.

Fun with guests

The Cinque Terre is a challenging destination for the rugged coastline and hair raising drops into the Mediterranean, but a hike to a local winery was the first item on Lindsay’s bucket list to help her family experience Italy like she had during her study abroad.  The vineyards along the Cinque Terre coastline are terraced and steep, making the hike breathtaking and challenging at the same time.  But everyone was focused on the wine tasting at the top, making it worth their while!

Kick back in Manarola

Those who felt the two hour hike up through the vineyards was more than they bargained for fell back to relax and enjoy La Torretta’s bird’s eye view of the entire village and the rocky Manarola shores, while sipping prosecco and snacking on bruschettas with local nonnis!

Wedding Day in Manarola

The wedding day started out with cappuccino and cakes courtesy of La Torretta, a dainty retreat where Lindsay’s close family stayed. Photographer Jarrad Lister, on his first shoot in Italy, captured every single detail and ongoing during the whole day, starting from Lindsay getting ready, Jordan pacing back and forth, and the mood around town even if no one knew there was a wedding in the making.

Wedding cruise

The family Minister held a heartwarming ceremony on a cabin cruiser rented out just for the family.  Everyone boarded in Manarola while Lindsay rode in a stylish Maserati to Porto Venere, where Jordan and guests picked her up for their ceremony at sea.

Seaside reception and skinny dipping

Cake by the ocean!  The party starts back in Manarola with a full fish reception dinner overlooking a gorgeous Mediterranean sunset.  What an invitation for tipsy guests … and the newlyweds!
